I have never seen a price on paper that beats FedEx Office.

FedEx Office repackages the reams, and they are always
broken when I get them. They then charge me to ship undamaged paper, and eventually credit me for the returned bad reams. They also put a "hold" on 3x the amount of my purchase everytime I order from them. I will not buy from them anymore because of that. I've been buying my paper at Costco.

Like you, NCLisa, Costco has been my preferred supplier for
legal size paper. However, I was there last week and noticed the price had jumped to $41. It's been less than that in the past. I'm going to need to see what Sam's is charging these days.
Are you saying when you purchased from FedEx Office they placed a hold for extra cash just for odering? Or did that hold have something to do with you returning damaged goods?
PS: Keep in mind I'm in AL. Your Costco prices may be different. Also, I didn't buy online. This was store price.

Re: Like you, NCLisa, Costco has been my preferred supplier for
Anytime I place an order from FedEX Office, it places 3 separate holds for the dollar amount on my business account, and the hold is usually there for 4 business days. It drives me crazy, because I don't always have a lot of money in that account, but if there isn't 3 times the order amount, the order won't even go through.

Geez, Lisa, I've never encounterd that...
Are you using a credit card? I always use my company AmEx card and have never had a problem!

I use two paper buying plans
Plan A
I shop around and get a great deal. There's a printer supplier company in a major city 50 miles from me... but if I'm there anyway (usually picking someone up at the airport) I check their price. If they have it on sale... hot diggity dog... I buy 2 or 3 cases.
Plan B
After buying 2 or 3 cases at a great price I don't have to worry about paper for eons and eons... that's when Plan B kicks in. You see, no matter how much paper you buy, eventually you run out. Usually in the middle of printing loan docs.
Plan B is scream cuss cry then hand my nephew my credit card and have him hurry right now down to the local staples and pay them anything they ask for a case of paper. It always comes with an extra candy bar, sometimes a hamburger.
Thank god for the money I save on plan A which finances plan B.

Gary, give me your nephew's email addresss...
...I plan on telling him that his uncle is ripping him off. He deserves something more like a free lunch at TGIF, or a free movie WITH popcorn.

Could it be Kelly Paper?
I love getting specialty paper from them for other jobs. I never thought about regular paper. Duh. I'll have to call them and ask.
