Zip Code Lists
Need help locating zip code list with corresponding town, village, and city names. I have found several sites that charge a fee. There must be something out there that doesn't ding ya. It would nice to find a fee less site in Excel format that provides zip codes in one column with corresponding name in next column. If there is any such site I would be indebted to this site for the remainder of this week. Thanks for all the info in advance. BEEJ

Yes!!!! I like monga . . .
Mongabay.com is just what I was after. It's perfect and it allows the user to arrange in numerical order. Thank you, thank you, Marian in CA.

Re: Melissa Charges
I think Melissa Data charges for some services, but you can easily look up zip codes by county or city for free. Maybe I'm not understanding exactly what info you are looking for?

Re: Melissa Charges
The other two sites are great, and you can look up for free. Should have mentioned that. The reason I gave him mongabay is because the data is listed in text format for the whole state and is easily copied for pasting into a spreadsheet application. I was trying to keep it simple.

Re: Melissa Charges
Hmmmm, I take that back. The http://www.zip-codes.com one is much better suited for copying and pasting into a spreadsheet.
I guess it just depends on what one is doing with the data.

ADC Map Books have the zips for county areas
If you are looking for zips in your travel area these map books are great. I keep one for each county that I work in, I like to see the big picture of where I am traveling, not the little snapshot that mapquest and google want to give you. I gave up on gps it kept getting me lost!! told me I had reached my destination when I was sitting in the middle of cornfields.

Heh! I know what you mean. I love technology, but I often prefer something tangible.
Here in Southern California, that's a Thomas Guide. No self-respecting mobile business person around here should be without one. Those maps have things GPS simply does not.
I use them together, actually. It becomes really helpful in those zip codes that are HUGE. I'm moving soon to a zip code that is nearly 250 square miles big!
