Wondering if anyone else is waiting on payment? Signing was 06-09-09. 51 days and counting, no response to email sent 07-21-09.

I closed a loan on 6/2/09 and haven't been paid. I did send Lisa an e-mail on the 27th and Danelle sent back an e-mail that they were putting my check in the mail immediately. I'll let you know if I haven't received the check by the end of this week.

I did a signing for them December 26th (yep, the day after Christmas!) and again on the 16th of March (the day before St Patrick's Day) which was a reverse Mortgage Application. Paid in 56 and 55 days respectively.

I have 4 invoices pending with them right now with the first one at 6/26. They've always paid me at around 5-6 weeks. I'd be on the phone to them if they went over that.

When I first started with ASAP they used to pay net 30, then the confirmations started saying net 45. The last two signings I did for them the payment arrived around the 55th day. I'm getting leary of accepting more jobs. 45 days is about as along as I wish to wait for payment. I gave them the benefit of the doubt on the last two. I will wait until they get back to the way they used to be before accepting anymore signings - hopefully I won't have to wait forever.

Last two closings I had to call to get payment about 50 days out. Also they only pay $75 with $25 for edocs. I usually get $125 for that. Anybody else getting $125 from them? With $100 fee, after taxes, that only nets about $80-$85, then you take out gas, paper, toner, etc. I sometimes wonder if it's worth it!

Then again, reflect on this - you could be greeting people at WalMart, flipping burgers, looking for a job paying less and leaving home daily to get there and back with no mileage deductions. Seeing the same people day in, day out.

Oh, no - since I've been doing this for the past 19 years, I will keep doing it. Working at Ghettomart?!? Never happen in my lifetime! I won't even shop there! I'm just feeling a little guilty for leaving my kids all day since it's summertime. Fees of $125 rather than $100 help with the guilt. P.S. Why do you guys have to be so snarky on this forum?

Shannon - what a beautiful name when said out loud
I wasn't being snarky; rather optimistic about our options.
I feel much the same as you - Ghettomart? Funny - LOL! How about McDumpy's?

Never had a problem. Meet my fees and pay in about 45 days. I do a lot for them, but less recently because of my fees.

I was called on a Friday night, July 24th at 9:00 p.m., agent originally confirmed to do the signing did not show, could I do the signing tonight, it's urgent?
I called on August 24 to inquire about payment, it was to be in the mail the following day. Nothing as of yet.
How can we as Notary Signing Agents insure that we'll receive payment for the signings we perform?
I was reluctant to do this signing as I had to redress after being home and relaxed and I can't even get paid! We need to have legal representation to prevent this from happening. I was really counting on that money.
I'm going to take collection action through the National Notary Association and see if I can get some results. It will be worth it to me to pay the collection company 10% to receive some portion of the $200 payment I am owed.

I have worked with this SS for the last year and it has been a good experience. They are Net45 and have been consistent for most part. The one time it went over, I emailed Lisa and received payment three days later. So far, they respond better than most services I've worked with and I'm happy with the relationship.
