I have closed two loans for them and had trouble both times.
I can't recall, now, why I tried again the second time.
Anyway, last summer they called me for a closing and quoted a $90 e-doc fee.
I quoted my fee, and they said they'd get back to me.
In the meantime, I looked in my records, b/c their name sounded vaguely familiar. But there are so many companies with similar names, I wanted to make sure I was thinking of the right one.
Surprisingly, they called back.
But, not to meet my fee.
It was to say that the location was "only 4 miles" from me, and they can't pay more than $90.
I politely told them that since they had taken more than 90 days to pay me for the last closing I had done for them, and had to make X amt. of calls, and write X amt. of letters, I didn't think going "only 4 miles" was anything I was interested in doing.
They hung up on me.
