Has anyone worked for this company lately? The boards said there were non-payment issues to notaries a few years ago, but nothing recent. They are calling me to do a closing and I want to be fair if they have started to honor their contracts with notaries again.

Just email or fax your invoice and you will be paid. Always met my fee.

They pay their bills and are quite easy to deal with as well.

I've worked for them for years and yes as everyone else they've been slow at paying. I've always been paid sometimes slower then others. I completed three closings for them since June two have been paid (I did have to call the acct dept to shake their bootie) But they don't tell me the check's in the mail. If they say it's been mailed, it's been mailed. You don't have to worry about them.

The last one I did for them was in April 08. It took 96 days to get paid. They called me for a signing in June 09 and I declined due to the slow pay. When I told him why, he just said "oh, ok thanks." No explanation, no apology, no promise to do better this time. Seemed like he's heard this before because he didn't even flinch.
Other than that, they met my fee and it was a small home improvement loan package.
