FASS and Transcontinental/ NNA background check

For those of you who have worked for these companies for years, and then were informed you no longer will unless you get NNA background check, you may still get work from them. BOTH companies are still hiring me, and paying my fee. I realize I am in an area without a lot of other good NSA's, which is possibly why, but don't be surprised when you get called too.

Keep saying no.... they backed off once & could do it again IF enough of us 'just say No!'

Re: When they contacted me about it they told me

I think they are fickle, especially FASS. When the subject was first presented, and I failed to jump thru their hoops, I did not hear from them for months. It was kind of a nice break, actually. However, one day they needed a favor, and I was available, and now they have been calling regularly. I tell you the cheap NSA's around here dropped like flies when they realized the NNA's promises of big bucks did not happen, and what is left is the experienced ones who will not take their crap.

Background checks for CA notaries especially is just bs as far as I'm concerned. I don't know about other states but our state check goes a lot further than the NNA one, from the state DOJ all the way through to the FBI.

I was told that the last one I did for them was my last one. Time will tell

Why should one organization be supreme over the other certification programs?
I agree, just say no and good luck to you future needs for NSA individuals.

Re: I will Miss TransContinental.....

if they dont call me anymore. And not because they sent me alot of closings, but because they were a great group to work with. I will not be doing the requested BGC for ethical reasons and do hope the best for them. I do wish an alternative would of been present so I could continue working for them, but apparently that isnt possible. If they do call, I will be delighted to take their closings. I know of only one person in this area who has completed their BGC request.

Re: I will Miss TransContinental.....

They, and all of the other companies, will be calling you because they can't always find notaries in your area that done have the XYZ bgc. I know from first-hand experience in my area.
