New Feature: Who Called Me?

For those of you who have not already found it, the "Who Called Me?" feature is now on-line in Signing Central under the Signing Service Listing screen. This feature allows you to enter the phone number of a missed call and will attempt to match that number to a signing service or title company in our database. In any case, we'll tell you whatever we can about the caller.

Had found it and used it - it's great AND

it might prove helpful to linking affiliates together, if they share a phone number.

If you're wondering what new tweaks you might consider - I think somehow linking companies that operate under a variety of names/affiliations might be really helpful. (Like Richmond Title /Flex Notaries, or whatever the affilitation name is ...)

Good idea, Renee....what I'd also like to suggest

which can be related is...how about a "Recruiting" tab - where companies can post that they're looking for a notary in said a town, looking for new notaries for said state/area, or expanding their database and come sign up....they can then be linked to SC..

Would LOVE to see that tab..Smile but that's just MHO

Re: Good idea, Renee....what I'd also like to suggest

Or taking the coding off companies so we can all read them anytime. What could possibly be a valid reason we cannot have access to that information just because the don't operate in that state at the moment. This can change daily. Boggles my mind the why's of this. Companies operations can change and you want US to notify YOU. Bull. IMO By the time we do that, its way too late to accept or decline an assignment from a company we can't have access too.

Thanks for adding the feature. I try to do a reverse look-up on whitepages.com but it's not reliable.

Two suggestions for Harry

Harry, thanks for announcing the feature. I did see it and actually used it a short time ago.

I think your new feature could be even more useful if you were to add a new top tab that could be accessed immediately instead of needing several mouse clicks to get to the info. When we get a call from an unknown SS we and they really don't have a few extra seconds to spare before the NSA has to accept or reject a signing offer.

And I agree that it's time to abandon that cute USA map and show all the SS to everyone regardless of their location. As we all know the state borders are meaningless nowadays, where assignments can come from anywhere and go to anywhere. We get offers from new SS all the time, and being able to pin down their service and payment records in an instant would be a great help.

Great idea Harry, though I usually just call the number back to find out who called.

I would like to ask whatever happened to "purging old profiles"? The other day, I had a call at 8pm for general notary work. The man was several cities away and had an urgent need to get his signature notarized on his docs. He was willing to drive to the Starbucks near me to meet. I happened to be on the computer and told him that first I would try to find a notary in his city/zip code so he wouldn't have to drive so far. He said okay, but if that didn't work out, he'd give me a call back. He stayed on the phone while I logged on to NotRot and entered his city and zip code. There was one Premier member in his zip and eleven Basic members.

I gave the man the name and number to the only Premier member, but had to wade through eight of the eleven Basic members to find one whose profile was updated in the last 90 days. Only found one updated in the last 90 days, and the closest to that was six months old. The rest were from 06, 07, 08......

I gave the man the names and numbers to the those two Basic members, but it was a waste of time having to wade through old profiles. It did work out for the man....out of curiosity, I called him back since I hadn't heard from him. He was very thankful for my help and he said he was meeting with one of those notaries whose number I gave him.

When are the old profiles going to be eliminated? TIA
