Proficient Signings, Inc. Inconsiderate Victoria Ruiz

So, I talked to Victoria "Vicki" Ruiz, who has her own company now and scheduled a 5:30. She sent me my confirmation sheet with no borrower's number, so I couldn't confirm. She promised me docs by 3:30 and the borrower's number, so I could still make a 4 o'clock that I had with another company. Long story short, no docs - no borrower's number, she called around 3:25 and changed it to 8:30pm and said she had the docs and was sending them now, so I changed my schedule around. It is 9:27pm. I have called her and emailed her - NOTHING. She didn't have the commen decency to email, text or call me to cancel. So she may have started her own company, but it seems to me that being inconsiderate and treating notaries like dirt is her MO no matter where she works.

Wasn't she with a company in FL that went out of business? Remember - a leopard never changes its spots!

Yes ma'am - she worked for One Touch Closings of Boca Raton who apparently had no consideration for notaries either. She is posting anywhere an EVERYWHERE about how she is Not Like Them, she never burned anyone, etc. etc. It's just so rude - my God. I am so glad I didn't turn any other closings down for that time slot or I would be REALLY MAD.

Add them to SC so they can be rated and this thread can

be linked - it's the only way the rest of us can know in the future.

I tried to. It said they were already in the database - maybe I'm blind, but I can't find them. It was making me nuts.

They're not in SC. Proficiency out of CA, but not Proficient.

That's exactly how things were before--scheduled appt., docs pushed back, no docs--no communication--left to hang in dead silence. Obviously, nothing's changed.

Since you cannot get in SC at least those of us that use the orange search button will still see these comments. Very sad way to do business and becoming way to common IMO.

NEVER be late to an appt for which you have READY docs. If the previous appt docs are not ready (actually in you Inbox), consider the appt tentative and move it to the end of the line. Prepare for your next appt, for which you have READY docs and stay on schedule. Be in control of your schedule.

<<<no docs - no borrower's number....>>>

Call once, email once, letting scheduler know you will complete that appt AFTER your other appts as docs were not ready OR they can have the job back and schedule with another Notary - their choice. Then move that appt to the end of the line. Not your problem that the docs are not ready. You have other appts to keep.

Do this and you won't be frazzled again and you'll be in complete control of your time.

LKT - I didn't move my four - I told her I was leaving and heading to my four and wouldn't be able to do hers - but then she changed it to an 8:30, so I changed my PERSONAL schedule to make the 8:30 - not my Notary schedule. Then she blew me off. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I wasn't so much frazzled as I was disgusted at the total disregard for my time by her.

I would never screw up a closing I had docs for, to wait for docs from a new company that was giving me the run around. I learned that my first week - the hard way.

I recalled after the fact how screwed up the few assignments were that I accepted under the old company. There was so much jerking around, it was unbelievable. On one of them, I finally got docs, called the borrower to tell them I was finally on my way (about 4 hours after scheduled appt.). As we got into it, the borrower looks at the loan & basically says "H#4l No! We have the LO on the phone.
About that time another notary shows up. What a fiasco. I would never, never, never take any work from her. I don't know if it's total disorganization or a mental problem (I'm serious on this). There is something very wrong here. You got your taste of it & know how this person operates. I hope you are successful in getting it in SC.

Personal or Notary schedule....it doesn't matter. I wouldn't screw up ANY schedule on someone's "word". If the appt was changed to 8:30pm, it's still TENTATIVE until docs are in the inbox. If they are not in the inbox in time enough to print docs and arrive at appt, the signing wouldn't happen (with me). I'd let Victoria (or whomever else) know that when they change the appt to a later time (maybe not in the words I'm using here, but they'd certainly be informed). I would then continue on with my PERSONAL plans as scheduled.

Re: She will become even more elusive when she owes you money

Andrea, I sent you an email to apologize as I thought I had sent you an email at the end of the day - With as long as I have had my own company, I never leave someone hanging but this time it was my fault as I thought I sent an email cancelling but looking back through my emails, I didnt.

As far a me becoming elusive due to owing anyone money - I always cut payments to my notaries on time.

Sorry for the confusion as I didn't mean to ruin your Friday evening. I should have called in addition to thinking I sent an email. Again, my apologies.

Good for you!

I don't know you from squid, never worked for you and probably never will, and have no idea about the veracity of your statement, but I WILL give you kudos for at least presenting a classy apology. Some of the other ss owners who have gotten a bit defensive when accused of various sorts of misdeeds could take a lesson from your post.

For those who need a little clarification, here's the rundown:

* accept responsibility without excuses
* proffer what sounds like a sincere apology

If you mean it, that's even better. Not really that hard... Wink 'Course, what will really set one apart from the fray is doing better next time. That sort of thing really DOES get noticed!

Re: 11-20-09

I received a call today at 1:01 p.m. for a signing from Victoria, on the road at the time, I accepted the signing, she said she would send work order. Two hours pass, no work order, I called and left a message, she didn't return my call or update me on what was going on. Now we all know when we accept a work order, it is possible we turn other orders away. Once home, I did a search on old Vicki and it would appear her MO is true to form. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate........By the way now one hour away from signing time and no word from good ole Vicki, of course with her issues in business, I wouldn't be doing the signing anyway.
This is the purpose of NotRot, to bring out these loser businesses, they call signing services.

Re: 03-15-10 same old, same old

Got a call at 2:00 pm for a 6:00 pm signing. It is now 6:40 pm and six voice messages and 2 pages later and no confirmation or response from Victoria. I don't know if there is even going to be a signing tonite. She does not answer her phone.

5-13-10 - no payment yet from Victoria Ruiz

I did a closing for Victoria Ruiz at Proficient Signings on April 1, 2010. I have called her several times, sent e-mails, with no response. Where is my payment, Victoria?

Re: 03-15-10 same old, same old

Hi Virginia,
I had sent over your confirmation but had to resend since you didn't receive the original ~ I did so at 5:15pm when we spoke (I'm not sure how accurate the time stamps are on these messages as it shows your original message was posted at 5:43pm which i thought to be odd since you already had the confirmation at that time). I sometimes miss phone calls but if I do I will give a call back as soon as i receive the message.

Re: 11-20-09

Hi there,
I'm sorry I didn't call you back regarding an update to closing. I normally do have this done but unfortunately every now and again I unfortunately do not due to different situations that could be happening at the time. It's no excuse, bottomline it should have been done and again my apologies as it's not purposeful at all.
