Stone Street Capital / Structured settlements
Recently I was called and didn't even bother returning their call after reviewing the extremely negative reputation they have.
I am not in the habit of not returning business calls and instead thought I would write them. I know it may not help but at least they will know some of the Notaries are sticking together and sharing their experiences.
Here is what I wrote to them;
"Good Afternoon, I am writing this letter with the hopes that it may be passed on to whomever has control of your organization. Recently I was called and a voice mail was left asking about my services as a Notary Signing Agent as your company needed documents executed.
I did not even bother returning this call because your company has such a poor reputation in regards to paying. I check three major Notary websites and all had numerous complaints about your company.
After thinking about it, I thought it might be of value to your company and perhaps all the Notaries out there, if you knew all of the Notaries talk and compare notes and experiences. Many Notaries even posting and rating companies on various websites. Many of the Notaries are centers of influence when it comes to their family and friends. For example, I have family members that call me from all over the country to ask about loans and taxes as I am also a certified tax preparer. Currently I would even recommend against using your company to help anyone with a structured settlement. By not paying your Notaries on time, many are campaigning against you, even when it comes to recommending companies that may help their family and friends with structured settlements. I have to wonder how many opportunities you may have already missed.
It's never too late to turn things around and I am sure a lot of Notaries would love the additional work you might provide if your reputation improved. I might suggest your company agree to start paying Notaries upfront via something like paypal to turn things around. I hope this helps you and the Notaries you call in the future. I will post this correspondence as well on the Notary websites.
Regards Larry "

Larry, the last time I worked for them I was paid in 15 days. There are as many positive comments as negative ones. I just did one for them yesterday. I faxed my invoice. We'll see what happens. But, I am not worried. I've had no problems with them. One person's experience may not be yours. JMO

IMO you really went out on a limb by trying to change their payment habits. Some of us will tell a company, when refusing to take work from them, that it's because of their payment history. Otherwise, I don't think it was appropriate to speak for other notaries or refer to the sites. It's like writing a letter when you're venting anger--don't ever send it.

Chris Busch is avoiding me as we speak.
I went to 2 extremely ghetto areas of Baltimore for him and now I am not getting paid. I will drive down to Bethesda and get the money is person if I have to.

I might suggest you call Stone Street & ask for their A/P dept. It seems the reps are not worth a s@#t when it comes to following the payment on these assignments. I stopped taking any from them--not worth the hassle for the money.
