VA loans

Anyone else doing a lot of VA loans lately? I've done probably 2 in the past 5 years and now have done 3 this past week.

I had one scheduled for Friday, June 29, but it canceled due to the borrower's emergency trip to the hospital. The package was 231 pages times 2. Rescheduled for Wednesday and printed new docs. Borrower had carpal tunnel surgery at a VA hospital and ended up with a staph infection that he said almost cost him his hand. Scary!!! I was amazed at the size of the package.

231 pages X 2 - wow, that's crazy! Mine have been 85 - 130 pages, typically. One that large should command a higher fee - that's like two loan packages!

They paid a higher fee and were up front about the size of the package, too. They also paid a large reprint fee for the second print. I have had many VA loans that were, like you said, around 100 - 125 pages, but this was a first. You should have seen his face when I pulled it out of my briefcase. The poor guy still had an IV thingy with antibiotics dripping into his heart. What a scare!

USAA VA loans run about 89 pages, which is about as small of a VA loan package that I've done. The rest usually run in the 130-150 page range. Never had one with 231 pages. Can't imagine what all the extra poop in there could be. LOL Glad you got paid well for it.

I've done many of them recently. A few this past month on the Army base 40 miles from here. Mostly wanting to get finances taken care of before shipping out.

I've had FHA loans @250 pages but never a VA. That's a lot.

Living in a military area, yes I do lots of VA loans.
