do you still get paid?
Do you still get paid if the borrower refuses to sign, and has anyone dealt with 21st century?

Tamatha, go back to the main "Notary Talk" page, click the orange search button, and do a search for "21st Century". Also, click on the "Signing Central" tab at the top of the page, and click on "21st Century". Be sure you are signed in so you can see all the comments. This company has been discussed at length on this forum.

After reading the comments, you will probably be glad they didn't sign.

I have worked with them. When the borrower refuses to sign, I always call the closing company/title company, immediately to advise that the borrowers didn't sign and then ask what their policy is. Usually, if edocs, the companies pay trip fee and print fee.

Joanne--it is so discouraging to see that notaries are still working for 21st Century. After all the discussions about them and their illegal & immoral practices--surely there are better ways to earn a living than to work for this company Go back and look at some of the discussions; they have done and are evidently still doing irreparable harm to those who can least afford it. Imagine what it would be like to hear that one of your loved ones had been taken advantage of by this company and lost $$$$ Our business is not what it used to be, but I don't think we need to stoop to their level--just mho

I have been part of notary rotary for years, but never really bothered to look through the posts on Notary Talk. I'm glad I have now. If I had known of the reputation of this signing company, I would never have accepted assignments to begin with.

I believe what you just did is Illegal in FL. ( if it was collecting information/signatures/and money on a potential loan modification) Be happy the borrowers did not sign, or give you a check.

It get's me that they keep calling. They called again today--told her I don't take work for that company--she didn't understand. First of all, it is NOT NOTARY work--there's none involved--IMO, it's part of their game to make it look legitimate.

They are on the FTC list twice
On the "operation loan lies" pgs 39 & 40. One of them has them down as "twenty first century leagal services"
