loan docs

Is it common practice for the notary to attach acknowledgements and such to the loan docs. Or does the loan company always supply the paperwork to be notarized.

They supply the particulars; it is up to you to make sure it is compliant with the laws of Florida.

Acknowledgments should always be provided by the lender/title. As a notary your only responsible for verifying that the ack meets YOUR states requirements.

JMHO!!

I can't speak for any other state, but I can't imagine a CA notary not having a supply of compliant certificates (for acks AND jurats) in their possession whenever they consider themselves "on the job". If what is provided does not meet the state requirements, we should always be able to provide one that does, although we are not allowed to make the determination as to which one to use.

This is pretty basic notary stuff. Hopefully you're asking this as part of the process of learning how to be a good notary before trying to handle loan docs.
