3rd time's a charm, right?

I'm getting the docs ready for my third closing with the same Borrower. 1st Appointment: She called me a few hours before I left the house and informed me not to come. She wasn't happy with the loan terms. (I thanked her for calling in advance.) 2nd Appointment: We were at the table and 1/2 finished when she changed her mind about closing. 3rd Appointment is today. Just called her to ask if we can meet a little earlier. Let's see if we can make this one happen. (I may need a new shredder after this one.)

I had five with the same borrower

in 2007 and then I heard she rescinded. Guess who the lender was???? Countrywide. And I was paid for each and every one of those signings. This took place over a 3-week period.

Wow! 5X?

Maybe I better cross my toes and my fingers that tonight's appointment is successful.

Like you, this assignment comes from a very good Title Company who pays a generous print & trip fee for no-signs. I just can't get over all this wasted paper though.

Re: Wow! 5X?

Three were no-signs and two were signs. I was paid full fee for all of them. I know it was over $900. I should check that company out to see if they are still in business. Hmmmmm!

I had four back in 06

He kept getting calls during the rescission period telling him he could get a better offer. Well he did get a better offer from his original LO/mortgage company using the offers he was getting and after the fourth time it closed.

My second signing *ever* was 45 minutes away. The lady was a former mortgage broker and even though I told her she had to sign her name as it appeared (with middle initial), she signed without and said, "it's fine, this is how I sign all the time". She insisted. So the docs went back to the title company and they said I had to do it over and get her entire sig. Now get this, the lady doesn't have a phone, it's been broken for several weeks. So I went over there with docs about 5-6 times over this one weekend before I caught her and told her she had to resign. I got so familiar with her dog that was tied outside that the second to last time I went there, I brought it some doggie treats. It turned out she had this boyfriend and they were at a hotel over the weekend. Oh well, I got 'er done. It's amazing I didn't hang it up after that one Smile
