4506
I just got a call from a signing co. that escrow told him I need to have the wife sign her own 4506 and not sign as spouse on the husbands 4506 and to get it signed today and fedex for monday. First of all, it is almost 11am here in CA, its amazing that Im getting a call on a saturday morning to do this same day. Funding condition states that she must sign her own 4506. I have never had this issue come up. Instructions show to have both husband and wife fill out their info on the same form. Has anyone has this problem?

I have had two forms in the package (one for each of the borrowers) and one form with both names and SS # listed. I think it depends on the lenders preference.

All the recent packages (at least this year and maybe some of last yr) require the bo to sign individual 4506. But if they wanted the bo's to sign separately why didn't they include 2/4506's?? Are they paying you for their blunder?

Whenever I have a couple as borrowers, I ask if they file their returns jointly. Then I have them both sign both the 4506 and 4506-T. Usually there is one for each individually, though. So as was mentioned, if they wanted wife's separate, they should have included it in the package. You should be paid extra for your additional effort.
Have you suggested that they send direct to the borrowers since it doesn't require notary work?

Does anyone know why there is usually one for primary borrower and spouse to sign when they file jointly but also one for the co-borrower only?
Thanks
