ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!

At 2 they postponted my 1 until tomorrow, docs for my 2 still havn't arrived and its now 3:30, will probably want to close at 5 when I have another closing across the county. However I don't have docs for the 5 yet either but after all it is a whole 1.5 hrs away. I could just scream. The 1 and 2 are only 2 blocks apart and were both postponed from last Friday. You can't plan anything anymore.

Sorry, Have to vent and hubby's not home to scream at. (Don't worry, we have been married 43 years and he's used to me venting)

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!! (I added a couple of H's)

I had one for 9:00am last Friday that they never did get the docs ready so it got rescheduled for today at 5:00. Then my Sunday at 8:00am (!) the docs were wrong and the borrower refused. So what happened? They called to rescheduled it at 5:00 today and I HAD TO TURN IT DOWN!. This is my biggest and bestest TC! So now it's 4:15 and do you thing the docs for the 5:00 that I had to honor are ready YET?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Not enough A's R's G's and H's on my keyboard for this ARGH!!!
And if it gets canceled or rescheduled??? Ooooo you DON't want to hear!!!

Whatever you do...

don't vent at your wife. Apparently husbands get used to it somewhere after year 13 of marriage (but before 43) but the offended wife is the same from year 1 to 99...to the couch buddy!!

Yep when THEY have a problem they want to vent all over the place (but don't you dare try to FIX the problem). But can WE vent? Noooo. And they wonder why we like beer! LOL

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!! (I added a couple of H's)

Yeah, 6:20 and docs STILL not ready. I could have easily taken the re-sign job and gotten paid for BOTH trips. Now I'm out a double payment from my biggest TC.

Re: ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!! (I added a couple of H's)

5 is now supposed to go at 8
2 was told docs were sent at 6, can't find them and TC doesn't answer phone
6 docs came at 5:30, husband on way to do that one it'll close around 7

I could add a frew more H's plus a few @#$%^&*()

They say don't double book. If I didn't double book at this rate I wouldn't have any work.

Re: ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!! (I added a couple of H's)

I too feel your pain. I had one call last Monday for signing on Friday at 2:00, but ultimately cancelled on Friday because "lending company" needed to redo docs. Borrower didn't know til I contacted him.

I got a call last Friday for one today at 4:00. Borrower needed to be out of house by 5:00. Had asked for docs to be ready by 2:00. At 3:30, borrower calls to ask if there were going to be 2 notaries as someone else called her to say he'd be there after 7:00. I didn't know anything except waiting for docs (for 4:00 signing), and called SS. They didn't know anything; called title who said docs weren't ready and that we'd reschedule.

So I'm on hold again for 2 til who knows when.

Again I have to ask, how did things get ready when they were overnighting docs? Have things changed THAT much??? Sure puts a kink in any personal time planning a notary may want to do, not to mention the poor borrowers who are left hanging.

Any one charging for these rescheduled appointments?

In my mind, if docs are not in my possession two hours prior to the scheduled time, all bets are off. I will however, do my best to arrive before the bewitching hour.

Someone posted here recently that he only locks in the time with the borrower once he receives the docs, thereby alerting the borrower of a potential time change.

I always give a doc status at the confirmation call along with a disclaimer should docs not arrive on time.
If the borrower has a problem with that, they can always light a fire under the lender or title to ensure timely delivery!

Re: ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!! Sure enough!

By 6:20 I gave up and went to our family dinner as planned. At 7:20 at the table here comes the cell phone call. I think "They finally got the docs ready"? But NOOOOOOO! It's a voice message kind of weakly saying "Um, this signing has been canceled for today...". And I'm out $200 in other signings now (with better clients). Don't think it doesn't occur to me to refuse when they call tomorrow. But then I'd be out THAT money too. Or the way this is going the borrower might toss out the whole bunch and I will never see that money either! Ongoing saga....
And double book? Yeah sometimes I do that on Friday's and then usually end up running myself ragged and end up the last one at 10:30 / 11:00 exhausted. Shoulda done that today I know. Oh well, hindsight is always better AFTER the events of the day.

In the morning, in the evening

ain't we got fun!
Not much money,
Oh, but honey,
ain't we got fun!
There's nothing surer
than the rich get rich
and the poor get poorer~~

In other words, double book whenever possible.

I miss him, too. Maybe he was channeling

I really don't do songs. He was a bright spot in any thread.
