A funny one
Yesterday I had 6 closings. Due to lack of communication the 3rd one caused me to be running late the rest of the day. When I got to my last one 45 minutes late (everyone knew I was running late) the wife met me at the door and apologized because her husband and her had started drinking wine and beer while waiting for me. They were fine and everything went well. Till I started to leave and the husband also was leaving and he sideswiped my car in his driveway. The damage was minimal and it was all very cute the way it happened but that was a first for me. They gave me the names of 3 different places to go to get it looked at and fixed and have the bill sent to them. I don't think I'll be doing anything about it as it all rubbed off but it was a funny and crazy ending to a crazy day.

Where the heck was he going after drinking? If he hit your car in his driveway, who knows what kind of damage he could do out on the road. DUI is not funny IMO!!!!

Well first of all, he said he had 2 beers. Second of all he said he always has trouble backing up his big SUV. I don't think either of them were "drunk". It was just a funny story the way it happened. Just wanted to share something on the lighter side. I'm sure there was no danger to anyone on the road unless he was backing up and the beer had nothing to do with that. His wife said he has done that to her car in the drive 3 times.

Re: Driving after drinking?
No need to defend. But, really, I wonder WHY he always has trouble backing out. I don't know of many people that hit cars in their driveway. Seriously, would YOU start drinking when you knew that a professional was coming to close a financial matter. Whether or not a person seems "drunk" or is over the legal limit are very different. I would not think someone hitting my vehicle to be cute or funny. Just my opinion. No offense to you. I am glad you could laugh in off.

Unless you're a complete lightweight
2 beers isn't going to have much effect on you. I could easily do a signing with 2 beers in my system and wouldn't miss a thing (and no, I never have).

You're a better person than I am, Anita...even on a good day I'd be hard pressed to find humor in my car being sideswiped!!
