Forgot to add in the message.

Anyone get an email from their GLBA Compliance desk requesting a background check by them for their insurance company, which must be done by them for a fee of $20.00. I've been checked by National Notary Association and since I am also a New York State notary, by the New York State Department of State. Anyone know why that's not good enough for them, or is this just another way to get $20 from us.

"GLBA Compliance desk" for who?
GLBA sets a requirement that companies who handle money and information of clients need to have some policey that assures that thier employees can be "trusted" with this information.
It does NOT say that a background is the way to do this, it is the most logical. It is up to the individual companies to set up what they want to do to comply with this government mandate.

Allan, don't bother spending any money on this for Dynamic Field Solutions - they are a well known and well documented non-payer. Check their rep in Signing Central and also do a search for past messages on this site.

There seems to be a sudden rash of bgc requirements coming out of CA. We've discussed this before, and I suspect XYZ has done a lot of aggressive marketing, selling their bgc.
As I think PAW had pointed out, there is no law requiring bgc's.
Further, this co. is a deadbeat, so I wouldn't jump through any hoops for them.

Still waiting to get paid from April 09. No one ever picks up the phone or returns phone calls.
My first encounter with this comapny was January 09. The signing was cancelled, but neither myself nor the borrower were notified. Don't waste your time on this company.
