FINAL LINK SIGNINGS FLS
This is not a post that requires any answer, it is a favor to a good signing service.
ALL THE SIGNINGS WE DID IN APRIL WERE PAID IN FULL IN MAY!!

The best favor you can do for a good SS is to add your glowing report to SC. This post eventually will fall away so anyone not reading this today or tomorrow won't see it, but the SC comments will remain for all to see - today, tomorrow, next week, next year.

Not quite true LKT, I agree with adding to SC...but anyone
doing a search today, tomorrow, next week or nest year will see the post.

personally, I'm not sure why others rely so much on signing central ... I'd rather read a post and know who it's from rather than a comment from a nameless poster on siging central.
I may have great respect for Nancy Notary but zero respect for Nellie Notary - in the forum I'd know who is responding ... in siging central I'd have no idea.

When I want to update the forum with positive or negative payment history, I usually do a search for past messages about the company and tag it on to the most recent message. I also put a comment in signing central.

Here's my perspective

Sue/PA, I see things a little differently. Usually, a notary who wants to protect their interests will not reveal their good paying clients only to have newbies and others market to that client. It's one thing when a notary takes on the arduous task of going to SC and reviewing the companies one by one and marketing to the good ones. It's quite another when someone anounces with trumpets that John Doe Signing Service or John Doe Title Company is a great company to work for, thereby handing them over to others on a silver platter.
If there is no info in SC or the orange search regarding John Doe SS/TC and someone asks about their history, I MAY chime in with my experience but if the company is searchable then I expect the notary to do their due diligence. Other than Pat/WA, I am of the opinion that those that announce with trumpets glowing reports on a company without any solicitation are shills. And the shills purpose is to repair an already marred track record - hoping that the comments reflected in SS will be ignored. Pat/WA stated they were doing their client a favor by posting a positive comment but just opened themselves up to being undercut by a competing notary who may market to that client.
Personally, I would quietly post my postive report about a SS/TC - thus concealing my client base and interests. I have no problem taking into considerations the anonymous reports in SC. Shills want an audience. The professional notary - IF THEY ARE WISE - will do what protects their interests and post anonymously. If a notary really wants people to know they are the author of a comment, they can put their name after the comment, i.e. "great company, pays as agreed, by John Doe......their post does not have to remain anonymous. JMHO

Re: Here's my perspective
good thoughts to ponder although I do disagree with ... Usually, a notary who wants to protect their interests will not reveal their good paying clients only to have newbies and others market to that client.... there are SO many who post on these boards that just don't get it ... how many lurkers there are here and how many signing services read and have been handed the name of title companies that use mobile closers.
When I see someone I respect ask about a potential customer, I e-mail them privately if I've got experience with that particular company.

Re: FINAL LINK SIGNINGS-update 9-5-09
I received a call to do a signing for them last week, the office staff, very friendly on the phone when accepting the order. They state the fee up front, "this is what we pay" the fee, in my opinion is low for a 150+ page packet to be printed x's 2. However I had another nearby and figured alright. Once home I scanned my spreadsheet and saw they were at 40 plus days owing me for the last signing. I called the office pronto and explain if I do not hear by 12 noon with regard to the payment you are currently owing me, for the July signing I completed for you, I will be canceling. I had already printed the docs and was good to go but I'd rather take a hit for paper and ink, then a full signing fee. The office said our account person will not be in until tomorrow, then they asked if I sent my invoice in.......pleaseeeeeeeeeeee I'm so tired of the dumping that a ss loves to do, lets place the blame on the notary. These companies know very well who they owe money to, any business that is worth their reputation keeps accurate records. Anyway, we hang up, they call back within minutes and say they are canceling. I said that's fine, better my loss be ink and paper rather then my evening, drive time, gas, and still sruggle to collect. Later that afternoon, I get call from Mazen, I was in another signing and he left a voice mail message, very pleasant, your check went out Monday, check number so and so, he suggested I could expect it Friday. LOL I get the check Saturday 9-5-09, the post date on the check, 9-3-09. The check was handwritten not completed by a payroll company and done the day I called and had my dealings with them. So long story short, they were at 40 days plus in payment, I have always had to call on payment with them in the past, low fees for large packet. No Thanks. And on top of all that, they find the need to lie. The check was not sent out on Monday, it was mailed the same day I called and complained. I provide, prompt professional service, I stand behind my work 100% and I expect payment in a timely manner with my not having to call. It's called a lack of respect for the notary.
