Finish Line Signings

Anyone have problems with them? They failed to pay agreed upon fee and have failed to give me an explanation, failed to return phone callls, failed to answer e-mails.

A while back, I had a company do this to me. They sent me to sign a doc at a residence and the people were not there and when I called the company, there was no answer. I was SOOOOOOO mad.

Not sure if we are talking about the same company. I am referring to Finish Line, Inc. in Rocklin, CA. I completed a signing for them on 5/1/09 and followed up on payment Monday. The response I got was: "May work pays late June, checks go out on or about 6-22"

Yes it is Finish Line in Rocklin, CA. They tried to tell me that the closing I did on April 22nd would pay end of June! This was not told to me at the time I accepted the assignment. They paid on 6/10 but shorted me from the agreed upon fee. Never gave an explanation for the shortage. This is the first time they had contacted me to do a signing. This is also the first time I have had to wait 45 days or more for payment and I have never been shorted. I am not accepting assignments from them any more. Apparently they had problems before and are just getting back on their feet. But that is no way to treat the people who go out sight unseen and do the final signings for them. I am the only notary around these parts so I hope they don't need a notary anytime soon.

3/10/2009 Was great! Very professional and paid me at just over 2 weeks! Good experience. HI
3/5/2009 Payment was late - I had to inquire and then payment was issued - 48 days VA
3/4/2009 Does not abide by payment policy of net 45 days GA
