Got a call at 5:08
Can you hurry 12.8 mi. with the docs you haven't printed and followed all the special instructions to a realtor's office along with the flow of rush hour traffic and make sure the package goes out FedEx today? Oh, sure - 1 hr. there, 15-25 to print depending on how you have it set to print or if you even really have it to print, leaves 7-15 mins to sign and find FedEx hub. Pays??? because he has to see if this can go later than 'now'. Will call me back if he can be realistic.

Sure I can, if we don't want to keep the client waiting...
The best thing to do would be to ask the realtor to print the docs for us, that way I can head over there right now.
As for FedEx, either you can or you can't I've got a 7:30 pickup at one Kinkos for Western Region shipments.

When you offer a solution like that
You quickly find out if they're truly in a bind and need a good team member to help pull through with a solution...
Or if they're a whinny brat looking for a fairy god-mother.
If in a bind like that the Realtor/LO isn't willing to donate a ream of paper to the deal, they're not serious.

Re: When you offer a solution like that
I can offer that, but I can't get FedEx to stay open past 7pm....period. They just have their own rules and hours. The nearest hub (not Kinkos or drop box) is 30 mins. away from my proposed destination. Orlando may be a big town, but it is still a small town in many ways, not a city.
Also, I'm not overly motivated to do 160+/- pages for $100 (buyers side purchase), travel for 2 hours in rush hour traffic and still have to push the BO to sign faster, even when realtor is printing or has me print when I get there (last closing like this one, and the scheduler asked if I had done work with ABC or XXX Companies previously, that this pkg. was same)
Then, there is the fact that I have never worked for these people before, so killing time to research them when time is so critical in this particular venture...Many variables here.
My wand is just effective for so long during any given day....

been there, done that ... not any more
...The best thing to do would be to ask the realtor to print the docs for us, that way I can head over there right now....
you get in the car and go and when you arive, alas ... no docs, can't print the docs, don't have legal paper, don't have the right programs installed, etc.
Same thing used to happen when docs were overnighted ... overnight delivery guaranteed by 10:30 ... appt. at 10:00 ... we were told to just go, delivery will probably be there early.
Experience speaks ... if I don't have docs and I can't confirm someone has the actual docs in hand, I don't go. This is also one of the reasons I don't have a mobile office ... what if I drive 45 minutes towards an appt., planning on pulling over in the parking lot near their house to print ... loan gets cancelled as I'm pulling into the parking lot so I turn around and go home and am not compensated.
