I got pulled over today...

...and the Sheriff asked me notarize something for him. Those car magnets are great... but really, he had to scare me first? I could NOT figure out why I was being pulled over! He couldn't have just picked up his cell and called instead? LOL

Yey!! My kids threw (?) a surprise birthday party for me last week; theme was 'mom's new business'
Anyway, one of the presents were four magnet signs!! I have a tiny little car, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the other 2.

Fortunately, we were on a side street so there wasn't a bunch traffic driving by seeing me pulled to the side of the roads, outside the vehicle, using my trunk as a desk. I can only imagine how THAT might have looked. Oh look the lady with the big bright yellow signs had to step out of her car... that's never good.

I love my car magnets... but they ARE quite visible.

He not only paid me, but he gave also gave me $10 itunes card as a reward for wearing my seat belt. He said he carries those with him to give to teenagers who exhibit "good driving skills" what ever that means. He was really nice, actually and he did apologize for scaring me. He needed to get a copy of his son's birth certificate and needed to find a notary today for the application so when he saw me drive by, he just flipped his lights.

I don't mind it so much... it was actually kind of fun to be pulled over and not be in trouble.

He's lucky...

If that was me and that stop made me late for a signing or other appointment, I think I'd have been ticked off! I'm glad it worked out for you -- and if it worked out for me, I'm sure I'd feel the same way -- but on the surface, that seems like a bit of an abuse of power... Probably just a reflex on his part, but he's lucky he found you in the frame of mind you had!

Good to hear that the door magnets got you noticed, though!
