Do not work for them...

They will not pay you and will not return calls. Others have also had bad experiences with these deadbeats...do a search.

The only dealing I had with this company was last year when I did a signing through a signing service that closed down and didn't pay me. First Title & Escrow was the title company on the loan and when I hadn't been paid I contacted them to pursue payment and they told me they'd already paid the SS (they, in fact, were the ones who told me the company had closed). When I requested a copy of the canceled check I was told "they don't do that"...I left 3 messages for Pam to call me about getting a copy of the canceled check - she never returned my call. So I filed a complaint with the Maryland Insurance Department who referred it to the proper governing body (state dept where the property was located)....

Long story short, once they were contacted by the proper authority the DID cut me a check for my full fee even though they'd already paid the SS who closed. But their lack of cooperation and response to my direct requests left a bitter taste in my mouth.

My experience.

Well, my first intent was to pursue the SS - so I needed proof of their payment. When they refused to provide it, I figured maybe they HADN'T paid the SS yet - so I pursued payment through them..and got it..

Have check mutiple forums, not many postings about them.

There does not seem to be a lot of information out there for First Title & Escrow inc out of Rockville MD. The few I have seen are from the same people, and thanks to them for the replies! Any additional input would be appreciated.

I have seen in numerous threads/posts that you have "linked a thread" for someone to go look at but when I look at your post, I see no link. Do I have something set wrong that doesn't show links?

If you read the original post you'll see buttons under it - "prev" "next" "Back to forum" "Reply" etc......all the way to the right is a blue button.."Link"...click on that IN THE ORIGINAL POST"..and you'll be taken to the profile for the company and there you can view member comments and previous forum discussions (if they've been linked)...

So goes the LINK...<G> Man, there ARE no secrets here, are there???...<G>

LMAO Who in the heck would have thought to go back to the first post for a link? Post it again, so I'm sure you mean it! LOL You guys are sneaky!

I figured it was something easy, but I'm not used to the forum. I'm used to the link to something being in the post made in response, and not having to go look to the first post to search for something the first post asked for, but that's kewl. At least I know where to look now.
