Ink deals

I'm a notary and a freelance writer/editor. As a result, my printer and computer are my lifelines. Thanks to help from everyone here I found my new "jumbo" laser printer and I've been thrilled with it's performance, but boy was I surprised when I discovered to get all four (CMYK) toner refills, will set me back roughly 2x the cost of the printer (which was on clearance, but still, a refill of all four cartridges is about $500 at an office supply store or even costco).

I've found Inksmile.com, and my toner was 30% off, which is a real lifesaver at my house!!

Here's a coupon code if you're interested. Oh, and their shipping is free. Smile LOVE IT!
You can navigate direct to their web site, or go to the link below, which includes a 5% discount as a "referred customer."

By the way, I bought the "not HP" HP printer refill and it's working great. I've had so-so luck in the past with the ofbrand refills, but theirs works great!

Thanks for posting this, Jessica. I am always looking

for a way to lower my operating expenses. Unfortunately, I just purchased a large quantity of toner this morning but I will keep your information handy for the next time.

I've had good success with LDProducts/4Inkets. I don't use color, but I think they carry it.

Re: Ink deals, etc.

I tried LD Products the last time I ordered and so far, I'm very happy. The cartridge is working well but time will tell how long it lasts. I bought three to get free shipping and on average, they cost just a tad less than what I was paying to purchase a case of toner and HP-made cartridges and refill them myself. I recently used up the last bottle of toner and, for their price, decided that I have refilled my last cartridge!

Also, I've been recycling the used cartridges at Staples or Office Depot for their membership credits. I recently got a gift card from one of them and went shopping for a bunch of other needed supplies on them That's my absolute favorite way to shop!! Smile

I thought I was the only one that had that issue. My Brother 9420CN multifunction machine was bought brand new on clearance and the replacement toner cartridges are $170 each! The machine only cost about $354. Needless to say, I bought a Brother HL-2140 monochrome laser printer that was on sale at $59.99. I use it exclusively for the household and for loan doc printing.

I have a HP 6600n dual-tray printer. Black cartridges are about $89 on Inksmile, I think they were $110 at my regular office supply store. Color cartridges range wildly between $125 and $175. (I'm letting those run on dregs since I seldom use them).

It's a $400 or $500 printer, but I got it on sale for super cheap since it's last year's model and it was the store display, and has the green lights instead of the blue lights or some dumb thing like that. Smile It is a workhorse, and I really like it, but I was sure surprised the first time I went to ring up toners. I decided to shop around.

A writer-friend told me about InkSmile.

I buy my toner on eBay and get it for much less than on the websites you listed in this post. eBay has very good deals. You have to search for the product and then search for the lowest price. I get free shipping when I buy 3 or more cartridges. I use an HP Laserjet 3390.

Re: TonerInks.com

This is the best deal I have found anywhere. Like everyone else I am leary of remanufactured cartridges, but I have purchased over 20 cartridges from this company and never had a problem. In fact the cartridges are filled to the top and I usually get about 400 pages after the low toner light comes on. Example: HP 1320 49X toner for $29.90 and shipping is a flat $5.90 regardless of your order. I purchased a rebuilt HP1320 as a backup for $150, including a full toner cartridge. Martin Shahoony is the owner of this small business and he is a block away from NNA headquarters in Chatsworth CA. He is a good guy check him out - tell him Roy sent ya ;-)
