Fat fingers on a keyboard yields typos.

I used to be a real stickler about what I read but these days I'm a lot more relaxed. And, I have to say that some of the best folks I work with are not folks with English as their first language. I "get it" about they are trying to tell me. I know what they mean. And, I'm so grateful to them for the work they send my way that I'm learning to let it go. My best client is a guy with a Middle Eastern name. In fact, I think I've grown fond of the way he structures his $entence$.

Mortgage Inspections

My sister once forwarded a very long message to me where one or all vowels were left out of every word (If yu cn rd ths...) and you know what? It was perfectly readable with just a little effort.

My problem is that I keep transposing letters "the" comes out "teh" about half the tiem. See what I mean?

NP Field...I just found it funny that once it had already been pointed out that you didn't correct it.

The main thing is that the name is right on the checks, and they come out timely.

Best of luck to you in gaining some new contacts!

Hope you have a Great week and 4th of July weekend!

My husband was a pretty rotten speller but a very smart man. Some of us do numbers, some of us do letters. Some of us just watch a lot of movies from Netflix. Smile

LOL True!

I used to be able to type an adjusted 74 wpm, after adjustment for any error. I'm not as fast as I used to be, and am thankful for my spell checkers, where they exist. I have a size 12 ring finger, and my fingers just don't work with my mind as well as they used to. LOL

Re: LOL True!

I've mentioned this kid before on here but I can't get over his range of talent. He's a runner at the firm I work for. Graduated at the top of his class at TAMU and now heading off to UT law school this fall. Brilliant. Got a full ride to Baylor Law School but opted to pay for the UT prestige. Anyhow, he is a church going power lifter, too. He's got a mechanical mind as well and can "fix" things.

One day he asked to borrow my computer to check his email. He typed so fast that I thought he was playing around and acting stupid. I asked him how fast he typed...120 wpm. He suddenly went from runner and strong back around the office to filling in as a typist and legal assistant. I'm gonna miss that kid. He was with us for two years. I have depended on him a lot. I have truly never met anyone so blessed with so many smarts. And, no...he's not a dud at parties. Probably one of the wittiest people I have ever met.

I can live with that...

Wow, The Wire tonite with Stringer and Avon selling each other out was fabulous! I feared for Omar at the beginning when he met up with Bowtie though, he is the only one I truly identify with, so was great to see the arrangement.

No baseball scores though....

Re: GREAT COMPANY

Yea, we all have our moments of "fat" fingers. Smile
I've been working with FM since Jan, '09 and they are GREAT to work for and with. I get my inspections in plenty of time to get them done (usually 7-10 days before due date). I have NEVER had a late payment from them. Judi will usually call me to make sure I received my check, which is unheard of from other companies.
The inspections are really easy to do, too.
