The Signing Central content usually has the website address for the company. Most websites have a tab for "join us, notary members, vendor sign-up," or some other wording to indicate to click their to get info. Many allow on-line sign-up without hassle. Expect to enter several common items, such as a copy of your notary certificate (or whatever your county/state uses), proof of E&O insurance, a W-9, a resume letter, and sometimes your fee schedule. Don't let the resume scare you. Just tell what you can that might make them want to use you, for you may be one of the few in your area. I'd been almost hibernated as a notary during years as a Realtor, but began assignments less than one year ago and have done over 100 since then, and I'm in small-town Alabama. The Signing Central rating for each company is created from the input of our members. I joined a week ago and am initially applying to companies that rate MORE than 4 stars (that's 2.5 to 5). After applying with them, I'll do the same with 4-star and 3-star companies. Hopefully, I'll be too busy to apply with the 3-stars, but will not sign with any having fewer than 3 stars. This forum and the Signing Central were the main reasons I joined NotRot.
