Printing Docs: Follow up to Yesterday.

Here we go again. New day, same problem. I had an appointment scheduled for right now. 1/2 hour away. I still don't have docs yet. I agree with previous posts from yesterday. Whatever happened to overnight docs and 80 pages max??!! Granted, the extra printing fee is good money....but at least with overnight you can schedule more than 1 signing in a row and stick to it!! We are all trying to run a business and manage a personal life too. Late docs are all too common anymore.

I find that late docs are more the norm than the exception these days.

Schedule with O/N docs?

You may, but out here in the country UPS/FEDEX deliver when they feel the need to clear their truck.

Re: Schedule with O/N docs?

That's funny.
I much prefer o/n so I can plan and schedule my day too. We are very rural here too but I do live in town and my o/n are here by 10AM - on the other hand though, if they send docs o/n to borrower; well, as you said, maybe two-three or four days later.

Printing is a convience for them and not us. Last minute is the norm these days too. I loose business waiting for and then having to print docs. I like the idea of a SURCHARGE just because they are edocs and the added time envolved.

Re: Schedule with O/N docs?

I prefer O/N docs also, but they're few and far between. The reason I like them is that you know the BO has seen the most important docs by the time you get to the table so you usually don't have to spring an e-doc settlement statement on them that is . . surprisingly???!!!. . . "not what my loan officer told me" and a no-sign.

I just had to turn a signing back - first signing 6:30 - second immediately after - docs for second not here yet and I can't wait around to print....my drop dead time was 4:00...

Late docs & last minute push are the order of the day for EOM. I accepted a signing for 8 pm, knowing I had a 6 pm & needed to come back to print docs. Guess what, it's 7 pm & no docs ready for the 8 pm. The borrower had expected it to be at 7 pm--haha! Maybe it will go, maybe it won't.
