Question For New Jersey Notaries
I have been told that further south in New Jersey that they require attorney only closings. Now the reason why I am asking this question, is that I have been asked to do a closing on Friday in AC. The borrower sounded confused when I called to confirm the closing time and they stated that they thought only atorney's were to do closings and not notaries.
I'm hoping you can clear this up for me. In the mean time I will continue to do more research. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Notaries can do closings in New Jersey through out the state. The borrower is incorrect.

Why would a NY notary do a signing in NJ
unless you're a NJ notary too? Now as for the lawyer. You need a lawyer for a purchase in North Jersey, South Jersey can conduct a purchase closing as long as he/she has a TPI and is back by a TC.
