Today's offer

of $50 for a refil including edocs was rejected. "But it's a small package," she exclaimed, only fax back...."He!! no!" I interruped as I hung up.

Now that gave me a laugh. I've been doing this since 2000, never had that low of an offer. You did good, wonder how many times she heard that until she found a fool to do it?

I've been offered that and lower! LOL!!

I love it when they call at 5:00pm, offer $65 and say, "Well, it's a small package because it's an e-sign... about 100 pages or so, and we only need you to fax back the HUD, the note, the 1003, all of the disclosures and the RTC. Oh, and the only time they can do this is at 6:00pm and you must be done by 6:45p because they have to be somewhere at 7:00pm."

That's when I start rattling off my fees... I tell them that if they really need me with an hour's notice for an e-sign that I have to guarantee to be done in 45 minutes (husband/wife signing), they need to be willing to meet my fees. And those calls always end with, "Well, I have to call and get permission for that. I'll call you back..."

Guess how often they actually call back?

Re: Today's offer or "Notary Auction Time"

$50 Good grief! Trust me there are people out there that will take that amount of money. Then you'll see them posting about how they can't get their pay or spend 90 days chasing the lowballers. We could compose a song just for them "lowballers, chasing lowballers."

Let the Notary Auctions begin !

I have a better one :)

A company called me and said that they pay $75.00 for a closing with 3 copies of docs printed. Yes 1 for each borrower and you have to fax back the whole package right after the closing. I started laughing and she got mad.Sad part is someone will take it and also it was 85 miles round trip. Frown

Re: I have a better one :)

I'd have been tempted to ask her to share whatever she's been smoking! Ha ha! That's crazy! Whoever takes that will be lucky to make back their printing. What a mess. Do we get to know which SS or Title Co. this is, so we can block their number?
