What's up with Search 2 Close???
I haven't heard from them in a good long while. I got a call for a job for tomorrow in a county that's a little bit of a drive. I quoted them what they always had paid me in the past (they have large packages and require a stacking order).
I told the girl I had worked for them before and they had always paid me $XXX. She accepted and said she would e-mail the confirmation. A short while later I received an e-mail from her saying, "I’m sorry I have not been approved to pay $XXX for this closing, thank you anyway."
What are they paying now-a-days??? You can PM me if you don't want to post their fees to the board. Thanks!

Last one I did for them (e-docs/refi) was for $125. They have always paid in a timely fashion.

I have had this happen much recently with "newbee" schedulers. They are only doing what they are told to do. I more than likely know the owner or thier manager who I give a call and explain ask if I can help with the signing I was called about.

Turns out they gave the job to my notary friend who is located closer. He quoted them $25 less than I did, and it was not a lowball fee.

Be careful, if it doesn't close, they cut your fee to $50. They may claim to not have received your invoice as well.

I hate chasing my money for any reason, but the owner of this company hates confrontation, enough that he will pay more quickly then the squeeking wheel is too loud.
