Move over e-mail, here come 'Pixetells'
Just picked this up off Twitter few mins. ago:
Move over e-mail, here come 'Pixetells'
"A Portland, Oregon, startup called Ontier is set on Monday to unveil Pixetell, communication software that combines text, video, images, and audio in a single message.
Regular e-mail, especially for complicated discussions, can be tedious, with many messages going back and forth before a problem gets solved, said CEO Sebastian Rapport, who will demonstrate Pixetell at the DEMO conference in Palm Desert, California. "

Move over old Fogeys - another program/process to upset the apple cart! Technology - isn't it grand?

the demo is great! I look forward to this. It can be a real pain explaining some things via email.

Re: Move over e-mail, here come 'Pixetells' - Bets anyone?
Google is taking over the world. What do you want to bet they will either buy out this company or have something similar ready to unveil!!!?

Facebook attempted to buy Twitter, failed. As for Google? Don't know that I want that bet. . .

Looks like it will go over big for businesses, but how much
are we willing to spend to send an email? They haven't decided the costs yet, but it will be on a subscription basis. If a big player like Google DOES buy them out, they would probably find a way to let the public have a generic version for free while charging for the premium version - much like Google Earth.
I would think that even a free generic version would still be superior to the e-mails of today.

Google eliminated the Premium version of Google Earth
and now only has the free version and the commercial version. Premium subscribers were eliminated at the end of last year.
