92 pages of broker disclosures???!!!!
Are you kidding me? Hey brokers, earn your damn commission by doing YOUR job and don't rely on the closer to do your job unless you plan on sharing your commission. OKAY? My $150 pales in comparison to the $2k you are making for doing a half-a$$ job.

Geez, that's enough to warrant a fee for a second closing. More pages than most 2nd loans or helocs.

I hate that. Was it T.D? Only want to put initials but you'll know who I mean if it was them.

TD: They always seem to have alot of broker docs, don't they?
I don't think I've ever seen 92 in any package before. I think 92 pages is over the top.

Re: 92?? ouch.
IMHO, That is something they should send to the borrower after the loan is closed. That seems to be the majority of questions. I hate sitting there waiting while they fill that nonsense out. All it boils down to is "will you refer me to someone else?". Bottom line. Sorry you had to go through that. I have told them before i'd leave an envelope and those docs with the borrower to fill out at their leisure. Still either way, that is alot of paper for nothing.

Three signers, an hour and a half to close, constant
barking dog in another room, not enough junk docs to go around, FHA docs in triplicate and 92 pages of broker docs...I'm guessing there were 15 notarized docs, but I'll let y'all know fer sure tomorree.
Really, I would not have done this if it were not for one of my FAVE EOs. She needed my help and I was there for her just as she has been there for me in the recent past. If this job came by way of SS or new TC, I might have made a different choice or at least charged more.
I have a happy customer and a happy EO and right now that's what matters. I know I am on the top of the list for this EO that calls me at least two times per month and meets my fees. What more could you ask for now?
BTW, who was it that all of a sudden decided that $90.00 was the going rate for edocs??? Phooooohy is what I have to say to that MoMo.... especially when our cost of doing business is going up and TCs have NOT reduced their fees to the borrowers. Get real people.

Re: Three signers, an hour and a half to close, constant
I get offered $85.00 total for signing+edocs all the time. Nope.
I keep the edoc fees separate...so if they want to offer me $90 just for the edocs, GREAT... but they're also paying my signing fee, my travel fee and the notarization fees, too.

And a total of 23 notarizations. Heads up people...
The lender was Franklin American Mortgage.

Re: And a total of 23 notarizations. Heads up people...
I had one for them last night, also. All kinds of extra affs (some were for another state). The package wasn't that huge, but it ended up with 24 notarizations (unbelievable). I'm also seeing a trend for lower fees. I guess they are applying "recession" thinking across the board--lower interest rates/lower fees. It has become almost impossible to pull a good $150 fee from anyone. I'm hearing it from the borrowers end also--laid off from regular jobs, pay cuts to stay on job, etc. We'll all get through this.
