I had one like that that DID end well....

An esigning... and I got the docs the day before. Could not reach bwrs at all! Not even voice mail... their phone just rang and rang and rang. Not even up until the appointment, so I just decided to show up. They were there waiting for me, no problem. Whew!

Fortunately, this particular person is pretty well known in the community here, so I wasn't at ALL worried. The nature of what he does is such that I kind of just knew he and his wife would be there.

I got lucky!

I would show up at the appointment time set by the TC or SS scheduler. If borrowers are no-shows, then the problems are on them. They cannot use the excuse "we never got your voice messages". "Okay, so you didn't get the 20 voice messages I left.....but I showed up at X time and you were not home". At least you get a print and trip fee (or whatever your agreement is for no-shows) and can move on to your next appointment or move on with your day. You've done your duty - the borrowers are the problem.

I would call hiring entity and ask if you should just go out. I've run into this many times. The borrower was out of town for a few days and just got back; the phone was disconnected; they didn't have long distance service, so couldn't call me; the list goes on.

Make sure that you will be paid your full fee even if the borrowers are a no-show. Your time and business costs are worth full fee regardless.

Good luck.

This particular entity doesn't pay print fee for no signs so I don't print until I have confirmed with BO.

So, when or if BO contacts me, I will set an appt with them if I am available. If not, someone else can.
