Attn: EOs, Paralegals and doc scanners
Please, please, please check your scans BEFORE leaving for the weekend and make sure ALL docs scanned were scanned, or at least check page counts to make sure the pages you scanned match the pages you sent to the closer. This is even more important when the brw is leaving the country for a week and the docs are three hours late to the closer.
You see, it is not my job to make sure you sent me a complete package before I print and run to your closing an hour late in an attempt to make sure I am not late to the two closings I have schedule after yours and have had docs in hand for many hours prior. We don't need an at the table surprise, such as I had tonight, only to find that your office is closed and the only people left in your office work in a different department and can't help because you have no HUD and no Deed.
Oy Vey! Here's where extra effort and diligence come into play. I left the 4:30 that didn't start until 5:15 at 6pm promising to return after my 6&7 once we finally got someone from title on the phone to sort out the new title issue dealing with a recent split of the property. Got to the 6 at 6:10...over the bridge and across town. Get a call from title on the 4:30 RM and find out they had a scanning issue...could I print out the docs the scanner "ate" and return? Sure, I already said I would return, but had to run to the closings I had scheduled with docs, but would run back home, print missing docs and return to the 4:30 (ha,ha,ha) RM with ALL docs AFTER I finish my 6 & 7.
Everything closed and I got home at 8:45. The only pissed off entity was my dog, Macy. I encountered four dogs and two birds tonight and she just hates it when I come home with some other dog's scent on me. I no longer carry the printer or laptop in the Rav4 with me...perhaps I should re-think this since things seem to be picking up? My Rav4 nowadays totes wedding extras, lawn mowers and weed eaters leaving no room for a printer. Perhaps things will change?
I live in an affluent part of the country and it seems that the banks are finally loaning money to people that had what was a good 6% rate a better rate and the people with money are lining up to refi. at 4.5%. AMEN! Those that were not ripped off by Bernie are re-assessing here. We have our Madoff sad stories and there are people selling everything they own, but we are far enough away from Palm Beach to not have taken a HUGE hit. Thank God for this.
Unfortunately, many people find a RM their only option after the Madoff ripoff. These are things I have to deal with on a daily basis, it sucks and it is sad.
Thanks for listening to my rant.

<laughter> Boo hates me upon every return - my 'scents'
betray my familiarity with 'the enemy' and I'm rebranded an TRAITOR daily. Dogs, cats, birds, parrots, he doesn't care - it was SOMEBODY ELSE...thank goodness for catnip, freshly ground for each and every miserable act...
I'm seeing happy campers too - just tonight, guaranteed assumable, over 2 pts under an ARM, and fixed.
And, there is a new USDA no-down loan available now - just need to get the word out...
RMs are growing, true. There is still equity. We see the real world out here.
No Deed? No HUD? What are they thinking? Them's without QC will fall...no?
Personaly, I loved your 'rant.'
