By shouting she means WRITING IN ALL CAPS... We try not to do that on this board.

Is It Proper...
...to write in all caps; THE CARDS ARE IN FIRST PLACE IN THE CENTRAL DIVISION WITH THE BEST RECORD IN MLB WHILE THE CODGERS AREN'T. Inquiring minds would like to know...

Time to move it to leisure. Very boring.

Yes, indeed, it's quite proper
to SHOUT AT A SPORTING EVENT or in a bar when celebrating the accomplishments of a FIRST PLACE TEAM. By the way, there are 3 first place teams in the NL: the Cards, the Dodgers, and whatever the hell the other one in the East is. Just so ya know.
BTW, we've been hi-jacking maybe 1 in10 threads, at most, not every thread. So don't get your pantys (or boxers) in a wad.

I'm pretty happy with myself.
That's the first time I've EVER embedded anything on this forum.
It's Friday...a good weekend on the horizon...and time to relax. Okay, I'll take it over to Leisure and promise never, ever do it again.

A bore? Then don't read his posts. Who made you
room monitor anyway, Harry PA?
Surprise - we're not here to entertain you.
Baseball is our national passtime, and this is a BIG room, and 'Discuss Work' includes talk around the water cooler, so to speak.
Bored? Go back to your desk to drink your cupful. The season's just started.

Okay, okay
I will admit that some of the fun has been the naughtiness of hijacking threads, and trying to slip in Baseball where it doesn't belong.
But I've been around since the days when politics and jokes nearly took over the main board, that wasn't good.
So I'll apologize, and I'll do much less baseball hijacking, though I wouln't promise I'll go cold turkey. I've known all along that I was pushing the envelope.
FWIW About 5 posters have joined in the fun from time to time, about 3 have said "it's a hoot" about 3 have complained and about 17,453 have never once responded to a baseball post in any fashion whatsoever.
So... I'll be as good of a boy as a boy can be.

Re: Okay, okay
I haven't taken the time to add them up, but I'd guess from the responses that many feel it's gotten to be a bit much - myself included. Dialing it back a touch would be appreciated. An unexpected insert from time to time will likely bring a smile to most of us, but it loses it's impact when overdone. Thanks for being sensitive to that. 'Course, on the leisure forum, all bets are off!

Go Angels it is
I don't pay much attention to the AL but as long as that team is lead by the greatest catcher of baseball history and one of the Dodger's greatest greats well they're okay by me.

And of course, they have Jon Bachanov in the minors moving up quickly to pitch! Go Angels. (my Godson)

Us too... still one game difference. Of course we beat the second place team in our division which is something to be nearly as proud as beating, oh I don't know... the Nationals.

Now that I've slept on it, still boring. Of course it's hard to be a baseball fan when you are from Pittsburgh. 30

Which Reminds Me...
...of a comment a sportswriter made the other day about the captain of the Alabama Maersk, Richard Phillips, after he'd been invited on the field in Boston's Fenway Park. The quote was: "I guess it would have been a little much to ask him to throw out the first pitch in Pittsburgh".

Hate to screw up this thread with an ON TOPIC reply, but,
unfortunately, I am not familiar with First Equity Abstract. Some companies have a policy of paying for a month's closings at the end of the next month. You may just get a surprise in your mail box in the next few days. On the other hand, the full voice mailbox ain't too good of a sign. Good luck. Nice try , Bulls, Go Hawks.
