HP P2015dn. tech question

Is there a way to make the print darker. I also have a HP1320(2 years older), and it prints just fine, but this new one prints too light. The print cartridge is only half used. Could it just be a bad cartridge, or is there something I can do to make the print darker.
Thanks!

Make sure you are NOT in 'Economode'. Take the cartrage out and shake it...put it back and test print. If it's an HP cartrige, you should be able to go into the'toolbox' and check how much is left.

Ken, I have the same printer as you.

What you described has never happened to me. I agree with Les. You may have accidently clicked on "Grayscale" in the print properties window. I'd check there first. Or check Economode. Economode can be found on the Paper/Quality tab in properties.

Re: Ken, I have the same printer as you.

Thanks everyone for the quick replies. I tried all the suggestions with no improvement. Probably a bad cartridge. Not an HP cartridge, but on that is compatible. Just have to break down and replace it I quess.
Thanks again!

Re: Ken, I have the same printer as you.

Hopefully, you're getting your cartridges from LD Products or someone who guarantees their products. I've only had a couple w/issues & they replaced them.
