Help

I went to a pre application signing. The borrower was a jerk, stayed an hour to explain 6 pages of the application to him. In the end, he decided not to sign. My fee to the signing company before I went was $90.00. Since he didn't sign, but I showed up at the appointment, printed 100 pages., what should I charge the company? My full fee? Or 75%?

What is your agreement with them for a no-sign?

Did they agree to pay you? And if so, what? I'd probably submit a bill for at least 50% to cover print and travel. Surprised the LO couldn't save the application signing.

Did you call the LO for help? If you did and he couldn't save the application I'd charge them full fee.

I've got a different opinion

In my eyes, this notary didn't know what they were doing. Why in the world would anyone attempt to 'explain 6 pages of the application to him' and spend one hour doing so?

Just another part of the signing agent trade..Travel fee and print fee.. and move on.
