My Mouse pointer on screen now has disc graphic next to it?

I woke up this morning and now I noticed the arrow pointer on the screen has what appears to be a graphic that looks like a disc/cd next to it. When ever I move the arrow the "disc" just tags along. Don't know where this came from or how to get rid of this. Has anyone seen this before?

That's Vistas standard replacement for the old hour-glass.

My guess is you have a pretty fast 'puter and up till now it has popped up for nano-seconds and you just hadn't noticed it.

If it's sticking around your computer is churning trying to accomplish who-knows-what. Could be something ugly, but maybe not.

I'd reboot before I worried about it. If it's still there run a virus and spyware check. I don't think it's an ugly virus, most likely something that's sending crap out over the internet all the time.

Find it and cut it's head off.

Usually means something is running. I would shut down each program you have open, shut down PC and start it back up. Not re-start, but sht down.
