New junk doc

At least new to me.

A separate page to sign to approve overnight charges. Charges not itemized on the sheet (they're right there plain as day on the statement and HUD we already signed like always) just a sheet that authorizes them in general.

If every single item on that HUD gets a separate authorization I'm gonna start charging $400.

Dunderheads.

Re: The one I like is...

I applied for a loan to a LO or Broker (ok a real human) ... I will comply with the process of getting this loan...I will comply with correcting any human errors while we are in the process of getting this loan....I know I can go to jail (Thank you Martha Stewart) and get fined if I lie during the process of getting this loan. However anyone involved can and will re check and re check my information any time they want to make sure that I did not lie about me... Last but not... least Its ok to share my informantion with $#@% while we are in the process of getting me a loan. Now Sign right here.....crazy stuff

I wonder what the record is for

the most pages that required the signatures notarized.

My personal records is 15 just a couple of weeks ago. Two BOs, so that was 30 signatures. So if I charged according to the statutes, that's $300.

18 docs. 36 signatures

What really got me on this one is that they combined almost all the 'junk doc' Affs, etc. into one paragraph per Aff on a legal size sheet... and then included every dang one of 'em separately! One wonders if they ever read their own paperwork. OK, so my 2 for today cancelled--no docs/docs wrong.

Re: 18 docs. 36 signatures

A lot of these could be combined into one multi-page document to read that would only require one signature per BO.

Re: 18 docs. 36 signatures - yeah, you could, Glenn

and I think when you see a four or five page combo agreement that says it all that's because the lawyer for the lender agrees with you, but then the lender's corporate group probably has a set of documents that they want signed.

The lender's counsel shrugs their shoulders and says, "Whatever the client wants, give it to 'em...no point in arguing." Then you have the combo borrower's agreement, plus all the rest. As many as eight or ten extra agreements which the lender requires. Then, the title company has to cover their bases. Another three to five forms/documents saying the same as both the lawyer's combo agreement plus the standard lender's documents.

And, that's how you get to notarize 15 to 20 documents in a loan pkg in Texas.

Re: I wonder what the record is for

I had one the other day, I don't think it broke any records but had 7 or 8 affidavits with jurats. I about lost it when I got to the sworn statement, complete with jurat, stating their mailing address.

No, I'm not kidding.

That's Nothing...

...the Cards have lost 9 of their last 10 games to Milwaukee at HOME! Talk about a record! This includes the last 3 in a row during their just concluded homestand against the Brew Crew. We're on a roll...in the wrong direction. Our one bright light is the return of "The Carp" to pitch against the Cubbies tonight. We'll see if his presence can wake up the slumbering bats.
