No more graying of "read" messages??

I was halfway through a thread last night when I noticed that suddenly the subject of messages I had read did not change from blue to gray. Is anyone else having this issue? This is a great time-saver when it comes to keeping up with new activity on this board (which is quite a challenge, imo!) I don't think I inadvertently clicked on something, but it WAS very late (or early, more accurately...) Any suggestions? Thanks!

It doesn't work if:

(1) You are not logged on
(2) You are viewing in linear mode

If you are logged on and viewing in threaded mode, the you may want to delete the cookie(s) from NotaryRotary.

Yep, I'm logged on and in linear mode, but no idea how to delete cookies from NotaryRotary, without clearing out everything (which I'd rather not do). Any help there is much appreciated!

If you are in linear mode, as you said, then NotRot doesn't remember what you've read. It only works in threaded mode.

Oops! I goofed. I always use threaded mode. n/m

Maybe a Vista thing and/or IE

I use Windows 2000 and Firefox. Never had any problems "remembering" what I've viewed. Grayed stays grayed, except when Harry or Grif fool around with the database. Smile

It works for me if I'm not logged in. I only log in if I'm going to post something or check Signing Central. When I'm logged in, all the gray messages are now blue because I have not read them while logged in.

However, I have also experienced the sudden and total change to blue of all previously read and grayed messages. Not sure why it happens.

It happens every once in a while to me, I will come back and they are all blue again:-( It is hard to keep your place when that happens.

I've had that happen to me before, too, but usually it's because I've gone to a different screen (e.g. to order) and probably logged off. This time, I clicked on a few messages, working my way down a thread, and it just abruptly stopped graying out all of a sudden. The cookies / memory issue sounds logical, but I'll have to find some time to play around with it. (FWIW, I'm runnin on Vista, if it makes a difference.)

Mine will go from gray to blue again sometimes when I go to refresh the page if I've been
away from the computer for awhile and that is agravating, all while being logged on.
