Speedy Closing - Ringoes, NJ

After a situation that occurred today, that was totally unfair to a borrower and could have had major drawbacks for the borrower and what I have read on the forums, not only here but others, I feel that in good conscience I feel that this post is warranted. It is an attempt to set the record straight in regards Frank Amari (Speedy Closing).

I have been doing closings for Frank nearly 4 years now here in Maine. Yes, at times he was a slow pay, but he has not the only one and he has NEVER failed to pay as some others have, who have just vaporized off the scene leaving some unpaid jobs to fellow notaries as well as myself.

Frank is very easy to work with and communication is great. I really am disappointed by the behavior of s few, but it gives me more closings.

A little more charitable attitude towards anyone in this business would not hurt as it is extremely competitive.

I remember trying to get my fee from my last closing with them. I don't market to them anymore - it takes too much of my time.

I have been working with Speed for 5 years. Never been stiffed, and I have always gotten paid, a very fair fee. Frank really is a good guy, in my book. His money is just as good 2 or 3 weeks later than the other companies that pay every two weeks, (which by the way are getting VERY rare). I would work with Frank/Speed any day and would never worry about being paid.

Frank is a nice guy,he called and asked if he could help out when our place caught on fire. I had an agreement with Seedy to paid off by the HUD and things changed.

I think he pays once every 30-40 days now.

I take some work from them also. You need to be prepared to wait for your money & sometimes have to call. They require one invoice at month-end & pay the following month. That means payment can run close to 60 days. It's just the way Frank does business. I guess he's an ok guy, but still hangs on to the money as long as he can. Some choose to work with him, some don't.

I just had a conversation with Ron who threatened me that if I said what I was going to do if he did not pay, after promising on 2 occasions that he would mail the check out the next day, he told me he would hang up on me. I did what I was going to tell him I would do. This is shaping up just like Signatures Plus. I do not like being lied to about when a check will go out, and lied to twice is even worse. I made two trips on this one due to an overseas problem that was solved by the Title Co. I sure would not recommend them.
