...and speaking of junk aff's
I just did a package this morning that even had the bwr laughing. I know we're supposed to keep a straight face and not them them know our opinions and such... but he was like, "Are they serious with all of this?" He kept saying, "I'm so sorry they make you do all of that. Can't those idiots figure out how to put this all on one single affidavit?"
There were 15 various affidavits, name, occupancy, marital status, survey matters, bankruptcy, HOA Fees, homeowners insurance, hazard insurance, etc, etc. -- all of them together and neatly organized/numbered. That was bad enough.
But then we get to the 16th affidavit... and I kid you not... it says....
"I Mr./Mrs./Ms. Borrower Name, hereby swear that the sworn affidavits completed by me on (date) regarding my loan transaction were done of my own free will and the information submitted is truthful and accurate. I agree the the underwriter for my loan will rely on this information and any negligent or intentionally inaccurate information may result in the denial of a loan and civil or criminal charges."
An affidavit for the affidavits? Really? Could that be any more redundant?
