document for New Jersey-parental rights

Haven't seen the docs yet, but got a call to notarize documents to be recorded in New Jersey to relinquish parental rights. Anything that a Michigan notary should be looking for that would be out of the ordinary?

Thanks in advance.

Linda

Should be a simple form, parent is giving up all rights to child. Ask them if they understand what they signing and you're done.

No need to get into it we are not attorneys.

Happens alot when divorced parents re-marry and the new father wants to adopt the child. This form must be signed by the parent to move forward.

In CT, I had to record the exact time the doc was signed.
