help... signing what to do..

Had a closing yesterday at 11am. Docs didn't get to me until 10:15. Had a 30 minute drive to get to appointment. It was a first and second. Had fax backs so they could fund. We were not to send packages back until they notfied us. Approx 2:30 yesterday they sent notice it's ok to send. I was on appoinments so I planned on sending package next morning as I normally do. Got a call late last night and asked if the packages had been dropped off. I told him no, he said well don't send them now they have to have them tomorrow. I will call you in the morning and let you know what to do. This morning I called him at 9:30 am because I had not heard from him. It's now 1:00pm and I have no response as to what he wants me to do. I don't like holding onto the docs.

For reference this is a loan company going through a title company going through a signing company and then to me. I have a feeling that if I don't hear something from the signing company shortly my option will be to, a) take the docs to FedEx, send them and call him and let him know I sent them or b) should I pass him and call the title company direct and ask them what do do. The title company is who I was suppose to send the docs to.

What would you do?

After the fact, I would

scan and email the whole package, and then ship.

FWIW, I always give the client the choice to waive the faxing requirement
in lieu of next day doc delivery (when possible).

If you're sending the docs to the Title Co., I'd send them ASAP. If you're sending them to him (SS) I'd call the Title Co.

I would call every one. I would leave messages if I had too. If I could not get ahold of anyone I would scan the doc's to my computer (that way I have a copy to send Fax (email) to the right person. (Providing I already knew where to send the docs to) Then I would run not walk to the Fed Ex or UPS mail drop and send them asap to the Title Co. Then I would go back to the office and start calling everyone again.

If they can't get back to me in a timely manner, I'd skip the hoops & drop the docs to TC immediately as this apparently isn't a Purchase & they'd have enough time to do their thing.

If you received notice at 2:30 that it was ok to send, why didn't you get the package out that day? I'm not understanding this.

She did fax backs and got the okay at 2:30 pm but she was out already doing other appointments. Had she not had the faxing she could have dropped same day.

Mistarella's said it best. Either fax back, OR, drop same day. Can't always guarantee both.

I ask, if I have to fax the package it won't go out today

Almost all the time the fax backs get dropped if they know they will have the package the next morning.
