Accepted assignment from Pacific Dox and

just received payment via PayPal -they paid the processing fee. This is the first time using PayPal for payment, so should I be worried about the 3-5 business day hold on the eCheck? The comments about them in Signing Central were hardly glowing!

It's unlikely that they would cancel a PayPal transfer to you, but it is legally possible for a merchant to cancel such a payment.

I would proceed with the signing.

There's really no choice here...

"I would proceed with the signing."

The assignment was accepted and, in good faith, the company advanced payment for services not even rendered yet...don't see how she CAN'T do the assignment now.

I would do it. These guys might be slow in getting payment out, in my experience, but they do pay, they have paid me with paypal a couple of times when i wasn't paid for like two months they paid paypal and did pick up the processing fee.

I wouldn't rank'em with some of the other companies who are famous on these boards...

What I don't get is

if Pacific Dox has the $$$ to pay up-front via PayPal echecks, then why don't they have the $$$ to pay the people they have owed for months?

I would never accept work from this company (and they HAVE called me before) - I just don't need all their drama.

Re: What I don't get is why this clown is still in business

and why it is always posted here like it's a monumental when he does actually pay someone.

I did one job with her and got paid within 60 days, but I had my suspicions about her. She called me again for work and I accepted. I noted the escrow company name, address and phone number. After 3 attempts of collecting with Alissa, I contacted someone at the escrow. What really got me paid was I contacted the president and vice president of the escrow and told them she was not paying me. I received payment within 2 weeks. Not great but at least the check did not bounce.
