Declarent's Signature
I have question on last page of the "Mortgage" there was a place for a Declarent's Signature, since it didn't say borrower I did not have anyone sign in that place was the correct thing to do?

Did the borrowers sign and did you sign?

What is the paragraph immediately preceding this signature line - curious what the "Declarant" is signing off on...

It reads I affirm under penalties for perjury that I have taken reasonable care to redact each social security number in this document, unless required by law. Then down below it states who prepared instrument and address to mail when it is recorded. So I didn't sign or the borrower. We signed page 7 the page before this one.

That's for the Settlement Agent
Title or Escrow - way way back when (in the old days...<G> social security numbers used to be included on the signature pages of many many recorded documents - I believe it's the Privacy laws that put an end to that but there are still some forms that have this language - Settlement Agent/Escrow Officer certifies that they have removed all social security numbers prior to sending the doc for recording.
I haven't seen this language in quite a while...maybe it's an older form...but you were right - it's not for you or borrower to sign.
