End Zone Signing Service or American Signature Escrow
Has anyone heard of either of these? I just got a call from a guy names Nate who asked me to complete some forms to become part of their team. The forms require me to put my SS number and driver license number, neither of which I'm comfortable giving.

Don't do it. Get yourself a Fed I. D. # and then put that # on the w-9 and don't give them your SS #.

More specifically, a TIN or Taxpayer ID Number. You can do it online in a few minutes. You can Google "Taxpayer ID Number" and find out how. I always use my TIN in place of ss # requests on anything related to my notary business.
I'm not sure why they need your DL number. I used to give that out to clerks at retail outlets back in the day when I still used checks, but I don't like sending photocopies of my DL. It's been a while since I was asked for that so I'm not sure what I'd do today. You might want to try a search, because I know this has been discussed before.

Thanks for the feedback - I've already decided that I will not submit this guys forms back to him... Something about this whole deal felt 'off' from the beginning.

I know it's been a while since this post. Asking for a copy of the DL is standard for...every signing service has asked me.... I think it's mainly to avoid identity theft of the Notary... What makes me uncomfortable is that the escrow officer from American Signature Escrow is the co-owner of End Zone... :/ I've done 2 signings for them... I was paid for the 2nd and not the first...it's been over 2 months.
