Exasperation sets in again

Search button, Google?

Does anyone know how to use them? To post a message here, one sees the following - does anyone read it?:

"Important Notice
Please consider consulting the Search feature before asking questions. Many questions have been answered repeatedly on this forum by expert notaries: Should I buy a laser printer? • What are e-docs? • What is a signing agent? • How much should I charge? • How do I get started? Answers to questions like these are just a few clicks away!"

I guess it only applies to "the other guy".

(I wasn't going to post this, but just had about the 5th item today snag my attention and am feeling a bit cranky because of these issues. Can you even guess?)

I, too, agree that we see comments OVER and OVER about the same issue. The one I'm especially tired of is lack of payment......

Certainly, I've been in this situation, and it's frustrating, but apparently it is the nature of the game to have SS in this 3 way partnership. Some of them don't pay, or pay late, or pay partial payments, yada, yada, yada..... I especially enjoy working directly for the TC, but often that is not feasible.

To all notaries who are trying to get payment......your best bet is to use rankings here, and if you still take loans from companies with questionable payment policies, try calling the TC....they are the ones who have contracted the SS and it's THEIR vendor....use the leverage! That's all we have...then, use the courts if necessary....
good luck!

Pacific Documents...Paul what's his name.

I have nothing to say about Paul or Pac Docs. It just seemed like it was about that time of day that someone posted about either them or 21st Century.

In other words Jules, I feel your pain.

I know what you mean. It reminds me of the kind of thing some people do--just ask the question instead of looking for something. Like your kids--where's my so & so?? Well, it's sitting right in front of you. IMO it's a kind of laziness--thinking it's someone else's job to do your thinking for you---NOT!!

Definitely agree.

I posted a similar comment the other day and was scolded by some. I guess it's who says it and how it's said.

Can't we just be nice and give them what they want?

it is not nice to expect intelligence, to expect effective use of the english language, to espect the ability to reason, or to expect the ability to read. Just give the requestor what they want without any effort on their part. This is what this board is coming to and these are supposed to be professionals! Bah!

"This is what this board is coming to..."

The really sad and scary thing is if you go back to the very beginning, you'll see the same kind of thing. As they say, the more things change, the more they stay the same. [Heavy sigh......]

Re: Can't we just be nice and give them what they want?

On the flip side of that there is also no reason to rip newbies to shreds for questions that annoy some of us. Just because we know doesn't mean we can necessarily expect them to know. I often get PM's from people to ask a question, because they are afraid to ask it out in the open.
