Final Step - Funny

Ok, so with Gary Plummer, I had sued him in Maryland for what he owed me, as I was stiffed on a bunch of jobs. Don't ask why I took them it was a long time ago and he had paid me in the past.

So I sued him and got a judgment on his property. I continued to follow up even with his bankruptcy, as if I was going to be stiffed by them, I wanted to make sure that at least he did in fact declare bankruptcy and go through the process, not just threaten to do it over the phone.

I just got the Notice of Final Trustee's report today which says what creditors are being paid, and I am listed in there as being owed over $1000 and being paid $47.36. Boy am I going to enjoy receiving that check.

This notice is a public record, so if anyone wants to see it and what he owed, PM me I would be happy to share. Personally I hope he looses that nice house in Maryland, but there is nothing in this notice to indicate one way or another. Maybe I'll do some snooping, or if any of you know....

Brian

At least you filed your claim in the bk. It's up to the trustee as to what debts will be satisfied.
It's not much money, but I think it's great that you're getting something. Good work!

Brian,

You can look up the entire case in PACER if you have a login (though you'll be billed 8 cents a page). It it's exempt, you'll be able to see that. What chapter?

If you have a federal courthouse close by, you can also look it up on their computers for free, I think.
