Has anyone notarized an International lease document
Received a call from a client seeking to have a lease for commercial property in Europe notarized. I don’t have a problem with the notary part the fact that the lease is for an International property is my question. Has anyone every done this, notarized an international document? I did a search and could not find anything.

Notarizing documents in CT ...
Just follow SOP as a Notary Public - $5 per signature and make sure the acknowledgment block conforms to CT laws and regulations.
As an aside: The CT signer MAY need or want to send or take the lease to the CT Secretary of State's office for an Apostille. It will depend on the international recipient's requirements ... which are not part of a notary's business. If the signer asks about an Apostille, the information is posted on the CT SOTS web site, including fees and expedited servicing fees (which doubled).

When I was in CT and had one of these (and in 25 years I had ONLY one)...I printed out the Apostille instructions from the SOS website - when I notarized the doc I handed it back to the signer along with the instructions from the website so he'd know his next step.

Why don't you offer to take care of the Apostille for your signer. For an extra fee, of course. Gotta keep thinking about making $$$
