Loan Mod for Wells Fargo

SS directions tells me to "have the borrowers sign the agreement and then hand stamp on the signature page at bottom left corner and to the right of that stamp sign and date." No can do per PA notary law. There is no notarial wording on the agreement whatsoever. Anyone else run into this? I know I can't do it...just wondering how many do. I have to attach a loose acknowledgment to the agreement.

Is there room to stamp at bottom left, and include your acknowledgement wording at right (which would naturally include your signature and the date)? You can hand write it in. Then you'd be complying with directions AND PA notary law.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I had one of these last week and had to call them about the directions. They just wanted my stamp and my signature on the bottom of the signature page of the mod agreement. I told them I can't do that so they said to use an acknowledgment. The directions are very confusing and impossible since there is no notarial wording on the document anywhere.

Yes, I received my first one this evening, to sign tomorrow. I thought I was missing something. Was confused and read the instructions several times. Finally decided they must apply to the final page of the two-page modification agreement. I'll email SS in the morning, for clarification. Like you, I don't see it as something to notarize, and there's no room. It appears more like an agreement which can be signed by the lender upon acceptance.
